One of the most famous Christmas markets in the country, Lincoln Christmas Market is happening on the 7th to 10th December this year. The short period makes it extra special and even more intense. There will be over 280 stalls located around the Castle and Cathedral grounds at the top of steep hill. Well worth a visit – but plan in advance as it gets extremely busy!
The awarding winning Christmas market is happening from the 23rd November to the 10th December. The Bath Christmas Market is huge, it will have 200 Christmassy chalets filled with lots of delights. 60 of their chalets are new for 2017 and 80% of their chalets are from local companies – making this one even more attractive.
It may seem like the smallest of places on this list, but there is no holds barred when it comes to the Cirencester Christmas Market. It’s a great local event with a new venue this year, what makes this so special is the knowledge that you know it’s not a huge commercially led event. It’s happening on the 16th & 17th December.
This isn’t just any Christmas market, it’s the largest German Market outside of Germany! This huge Frankfurt Christmas Market in Birmingham is happening for over a month! It starts on 17th November and finishes on Christmas Eve! From German beer and sausages to crafts – this market has grown to be a huge attraction in the UK.
The only market not in England on the list, Edinburgh actually holds two! Christmas in the Scottish capital runs from 18th November until well into the new year! Edinburgh’s Christmas is a fantasy for all Christmas-a-holics! With some of the best lights, an ice rink and much more. If you can get there – definitely go!
